Artist Statement
Inspiration comes to me at the oddest moments. It can be anything—an offhand comment, a brilliant short film, a photograph or a song—and once the idea sparks in my mind, I can’t stop working until that idea has come to fruition. As a filmmaker, vivid imagery and minimalistic dialogue are my most powerful tools. As a writer, I like to have fun with dialogue and delve deep into character studies. But mostly, I am a storyteller, and my favorite projects are ones that have touched people on an emotional level: made them cry, made them think, made them fall in love with my characters. The medium for my art is dictated by the story I’m telling, and my goal is to support the story at all costs.
